Paul had his 6th chemo from 12pm to 4.45pm today. He had ct-scan yesterday and though the results of the scan was quite similar to the previous one done on 4mar, the oncologist said it seems that his intestine is not as extended which is good news but the tumour seem to be slightly larger than before but both the oncologist and the surgeon were surprised as well as happy that paul has been feeling good and in fact had gained back 1kg. It's very easy for us to gain 1 or 2 kg but for paul, it's really tough since he is not eating at all except for some liquid such as soup, juice & herbal drinks and he has to depend totally on the tube feeding. Doctor is surprised that he's able to gain weight as they said their objective is for him to maintain and not to lose anymore weight.
The oncologist tried a new chemo drug on paul since the previous ones didn't respond very well for him as there are still lots of tumour around his intestines. We pray that paul will respond very well with this new drug.
Paul shared with both doctors his desire to be able to eat again and it's been almost 6mths since he had a proper meal. Both of them said the only way which is not a guaranteed one is to have another surgery again but we are not going for it but instead we will continue to pray for a miracle for him to be able to eat again.
Though the results do not look as good as his physical self, we choose to believe he's getting better everyday and will continue to trust that God will provide the best path for paul and may His will be done!
Amen!
