Paul's 11th and the final chemo

Paul was very happy in the morning as he was preparing to have his last chemo-therapy in the afternoon. The chemo went on fine as usual until about 5pm when he started to feel pain at the gastric area. The nurses called his oncologist and after giving him painkiller and medicine to neutralise the acid it was still painful and in fact the pain became so severe that he was in cold sweat. Three more jabs were given thru iv but it only subsided for only about 10 mins or so.

Finally after about an hour and the pain still persist, the doctor wanted him to be admitted for observations and to run the painkiller drips for him throughout the night.

He was given two more jabs at the ward and felt drowsy and managed to sleep for a while. Finally the pain subsided around 8pm. The doctor said the pain may be due to some chokage at the blind loop of the intestine or the ng tube may have press against the wall.

Paul had been very strong and i thank God for giving him the strength to tolerate all these pain. Each time the nurses take his blood for test or give him jabs, i feel so painful for him but he's such a strong guy!

After today's chemo, his surgeon will be doing an endoscope in 2 wks time and after which, we will decide if he should go for another major op to check on the cancer cells and do a bypass so that he may be able to eat normally. We do not know the next course of action and will pray that God will guide us along.

We were supposed to celebrate mother's day tonight as peter and julia will be leaving for perth tomorrow morning but unfortunately we had to give it a miss since paul had to stay over at the hospital but the rest of our family members went ahead and we hope mum enjoyed the popiah dinner.

We pray for journey mercy for peter and julia and hope they have an enjoyable time and let's continue to pray for miraculous healing for Paul.
