More updates on paul's condition

Paul changed two new ng tubes yesterday as one of them was blocked again. This time, doctor recommended a better quality tube which he said would cost 12-15 times more expensive(not sure exactly how much until the bill comes) but we decided to give it a try. I was inside the angiography room watching the whole procedure. Initially, he tried to change the tubes to the other nostril since his left nostril is abit sore but the pain was unbearable for him and they had to stick to the same nostril.

I really feel so painful for him when i saw him coughing quite badly and was in great discomfort when they sprayed the anesthetic solution into his mouth and nostril and three nurses and one doctor had to attend to him as the procedure was quite a tedious one.

He felt much better when we went back to the ward. When i was getting ready to leave for home in the evening, i felt he looked flush and the tummy seemed bloated again. He had diarrhea twice and seeing him not feeling too good, i decided to stay behind. Thank God i did as from 930pm to 130am he had abdominal pain and also diarrhea another 4 more times.

I called his doctor around 1130pm since the nurses in the night shift were really short-handed and the doctor instructed them to stop all feedings and after given two jabs, paul was ok for a short while but the pain came back and i insisted they give him a jab to stop the diarrhea. Finally, they gave him another 2 jabs and medication to stop the diarrhea around 130am. Only then did he manage to sleep through till 830am.

The doctors decided to give his guts some rest again today and tomorrow before they start trying another nutritional milk on monday. He was very sad as he thought he would be discharged today. Well, we must ensure he's fine before coming home but i must say that he is a very strong man to be able to go through so much. Thank God for giving him and me the strength.

Well, we can only continue to pray for miraculous touch from the Almighty God.

Lily
