Paul's 8th chemo

Paul had his 8th chemo today. He has quite abit of breakouts after last wk's chemo which according to the oncologist and the nurses it's expected and in fact they commented that his is not as bad as many others who had the same drug. The oncologist was pleasantly surprised that paul had put on weight and is looking very good and kept asking him what had he been eating or should i say drinking????

Paul also changed the two NG tubes on monday as it's been badly blocked again. He had to undergo more than 3hrs of agony and pain when the dr tried to clear the block and find new passage for the new tubes.

There had been some blood coming out from the tubes since monday and the oncologist want us to monitor it for the next few days to ensure the tubes are patent otherwise he may have to refix again... just can't imagine the pain he has to go thru again....

His feeding tube was almost blocked again this morning and thank God that sister tay managed to flush thru finally after almost an hr and she told us it is God who did it, not her. Praise God that it's so nice to be surrounded by brothers and sisters of same faith.

Paul and myself have decided to join our church members for the church camp next wk(9apr - 12apr) and we had the blessings of the oncologist. His only concern is the tube and to ensure that the chance of blockage is low, i have to flush the feeding tube more diligently and i must start packing soon since there are going to be lots of stuffs to bring along for paul. We are looking forward to it even though he's still not able to eat yet but it would definitely be a good short break for us!
