Today was a terrifying day for me. Paul had not been well since last chemo on wed and had been complaining of lethargy and short of breath. We had not slept very well last night as his drainage tube seemed to give him some problem as it wasn't draining as well as before and i had to manually aspirate for him approx every 3hr.

He wasn't feeling good the whole morning and i decided to call sister and made an appointment for him to check his tube again but unfortunately there wasn't any slot available but sister told me to bring him in and she will try to arrange a slot for him but paul was adamant abt not going and insisted on waiting for one more day since the doctor whom he consulted before told him a new tube he would like paul to try will only arrive tomorrow.

He decided to go back to the bedroom for a rest instead but once he reached the room, he was breathless again and was perspiring. I turned on the aircon for him and suddenly he felt cold and told me he wanted to be admitted to hospital. When he said that, i knew he must have felt terrible as he hates hospital.

I packed his stuffs and called sister to arrange for admission. When we came downstairs, suddenly he felt weak and almost fell. Thank God mum was around and the maid, mum and myself had to hold on to him as he was totally weak. We put him down on the dining chair and suddenly he turned pale and was struggling, screaming and slurring. During that every second, i thought i was losing my husband and i shook him very hard and told him not to sleep and hang on.... The whole episode was about less than 5mins and when he finally came around, he couldn't recall what happened. He had slight fever and the ambulance came after that.

When we reached hospital, doctor checked on him and sent him for a ct-scan and bloodtest before he was warded. His temperature went up to 38.2deg.

He was much better after that and the ct-scan and bloodtest results were ok and doctors have to observe him further to see what went wrong. Both doctors couldn't understand paul's behaviour and his loss of memory and dr chan said maybe he was in a fit..

I want to thank God once again for preserving paul's life. This is the closest i felt i was going to lose him. It was so sudden and scary and i pray that this will not happen again and truly we must treasure our loved ones every second before it's too late. i am thankful that i've the opportunities to do that and i will ensure that i treasure my loved ones everyday.

Let's continue to pray for a miraculous healing for paul...
